KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 41 foreign women, believed to have been working as prostitutes, were arrested following raids by the Immigration Department on four massage parlours in Setapak here.
Four foreign men were also arrested for being customers, along with five Malaysian men, who worked as managers and supervisors at the massage parlours during the raid at about 4.30pm on Saturday (March 16).
Immigration director-general Datuk Khairul Dzaimee Daud said each of the massage parlours looked for customers via the WeChat application.
"They charged between RM150 and RM190 for B2B (Body to Body) massages and full sex services for about 45 minutes.
The women detained were 15 Vietnamese, 12 Thai nationals, 10 Indonesians, three from Myanmar and a Cambodian, he added.
"One of the Vietnamese women detained was the 'mummy' of the syndicate.
"She was in charge of taking care of the women's needs, including accommodation, salary and commission," Khairul Dzaimee said, adding that more than RM3,000 in cash were seized, believed to be proceeds from her clients.
He said all of the premises offered sex services in the guise of massage services.
"We discovered all four premises did not have proper licences.
"Their clientele include men from Bangladesh, China and even Myanmar," he said.
The foreigners detained have been placed at the Immigration Depot in Bukit Jallil, he added.
"Members of the public must not harbour any illegal immigrants. "We will take stern action against anyone who harbour illegals," Khairul Dzaimee said.
