MACHANG: A man who was riding a motorcycle with his two children were all killed when they were run over by a police truck here.

The victims have been identified as Mohd Azni Mohd Zaki, 34, Muhammad Aryan Zikri, seven, and Nur Amna Nafeesa, five.

In the incident which occurred at about 9pm on Friday, their motorcycle was hit in the rear by a bus when Mohd Azni was about to make a turn at a junction at KM1.9 Jalan Machang-Pasir Putih.

Machang acting police chief Asst Supt Shamsuri Mohd Zain said all three fell on the road and were run over by the police truck coming from the opposite direction.

Muhammad Lukman Nurhakim Mahmod was riding behind the car when the driver apparently lost control of the vehicle at KM29.3 of the highway near Jalan Klang Lama at about 5.35am.

Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Zani Che Din said the victim could not stop his motorcycle and rammed into the car.
