MYAirline suspends operations, admits to facing financial issues
MYAirline advises affected passengers not to go to the airport and need to find other alternatives to get to their destination. - Image file
KUALA LUMPUR: Low cost airline MYAirline announced the suspension of its operations effective today, 12 October 2023.
Through a statement, the company said, the suspension will continue until a date to be announced later.
According to him, the financial pressure was the cause of the difficult decision that had to be made in addition to waiting for the restructuring of the shareholders and the regeneration of the company's capital.
"We deeply regret and apologize for having to make this decision as we understand the impact it will have on our loyal passengers, dedicated employees and partners.
"We have worked tirelessly to explore various partnership and capital-raising options to avoid this suspension.
"Unfortunately, time constraints left us with no choice but to take this decision," said MYAirline Board of Directors in the statement.
Meanwhile, MYAirline also advises affected passengers not to go to the airport and need to find other alternatives to get to their destination.
"The Board of Directors, shareholders and all MYAirline staff will work tirelessly to resume operations as soon as possible but at this stage we cannot commit to any timeline.
"We reiterate our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused by this suspension and will do our best to provide any updates as they become available," the statement said.
