PETALING JAYA: The government has announced more areas under movement control order (MCO) restrictions, these include districts in Pahang, Penang and Perak.
They are in Kuantan in Pahang and three subdistricts (mukim) in Penang, one on the island and two on mainland Penang.
The three Penang subdistricts under MCO are Mukim 12 in the northeast district (Timur Laut) on Penang island, Butterworth town in Seberang Perai Tengah, and Mukim 14 in Seberang Perai Utara on the mainland.
In Perak, the government has announced that the Hulu Kinta area that includes Ipoh, Lahat, Chemor and Tanjung Rambutan will also be placed under MCO.
The government also announced enhanced MCOs (EMCO) at Genting View Resort in Genting Highlands and at Kampung Meripoh, Kota Bahagia, as well as Muadzam Shah in Rompin, Pahang.
