UMNO VP & MKT ELECTIONS

Pahang Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail topped the competition for UMNO Vice President when he won with the highest number of votes of 116 votes.
Based on the unofficial results released at 9am on Sunday, the other two leaders who won were the Minister of Higher Education, Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin and Federal Territories UMNO Chairman, Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani.
Mohamed Khaled who is also the incumbent, got 104 votes while Johari who is also a new face, got 96 votes.
In addition, this election saw two ministers and three deputy ministers successfully win the competition for the Supreme Working Council (MKT).
The winners are the Minister of International Trade and Industry, Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir.
In addition, the Deputy Minister of Finance, Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan; Deputy Minister of Rural Development, Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Mohamad and Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Datuk Seri Dr Shamsul Anuar Nasarah.
The three women leaders who successfully broke through the MKT competition are Datuk Seri Shahaniza Shamsuddin, Datuk Zahida Zarik Khan and Datuk Suraya Yaacob.
Other leaders who successfully won the position of MKT are Datuk Seri Bung Mokhtar Radin, Datuk Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub, Datuk Seri Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim, Datuk Azian Osman and Datuk Dr Shaik Hussein Mydin, Datuk Mohd Razlan Muhammad Rafii, Datuk Seri Dr Md Alwi Che Ahmad and Datuk Abdul Rahman Mohamad.
In addition, Datuk Seri Mohd Sharkar Shamsudin, Datuk Dr Mohd Puad Zarkashi, Datuk Johan Abdul Aziz, Isham Jalil, Datuk Seri Ahmad Said, Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom, Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Dahlan, Datuk Lokman Noor Adam, Datuk Abdul Razak Abdul Rahman and Datuk Seri Jalaluddin Alias.
As for the permanent chairman position of UMNO, Tan Sri Badruddin Amiruldin won while his deputy, Datuk Seri Abdul Fattah Abdullah.
