The cockpit voice recorder (CVR) of the plane that crashed near in Elmina, has been found here at 10.20pm.
The device is one of the components of the black box of the plane.
SHAH ALAM: Part of the black box of the plane that crashed in Elmina was found by the Air Accident Investigation Bureau (BSKU) , Ministry of Transport team.
Selangor Police Chief, Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said, it was found when the investigation team carried out a mission to find the bodies at the crash site.
"We managed to find the aircraft audio recording ( voice cockpit recorder ) by BSKU.
"They managed to find it and will bring it back to the laboratory for analysis related to this accident," he said in a press conference at the scene here today.
Earlier, the Inspector General of Police, Tan Sri Razarudin Husain said the body of the plane crash victim was found to be in an incomplete state and the pieces needed to be collected before being taken to HTAR, for further processing.
At least 10 local citizens were reported dead in the crash of a Beechcraft Model 390 (Premier 1) light aircraft at 2.40 this afternoon at Persiaran Elmina, U16 Section, here, which was on its way from Langkawi, Kedah to Sultan Abdul Aziz Airport Shah, Subang.
However, the plane lost contact with the control tower as soon as it got permission to land at the airport.
The eight-person victim on the plane consisted of six men, including Pelangai State Assembly Member Datuk Seri Johari Harun and two crew members including a pilot.
While the other two were motorcyclists and car drivers who happened to be on Persiaran Elmina near the Guthrie Corridor Expressway (GCE) entrance from Denai Alam.
Hussein added, the plane's black box consists of two parts.
"The black box has the audio recording of the aircraft and the flight data recorder (flight data recorder), so what we found was the audio recording of the aircraft," he said.
Authorities will continue searching the crash site on Friday.
