KUALA LUMPUR: Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail announced that the gates of all police stations nationwide will be closed after 10pm.

He said this in the Dewan Rakyat on Tuesday, responding to a question from Datuk Seri Richard Riot (GPS - Serian) regarding measures to tighten security at police stations in Malaysia following the recent incident.
The case in Ulu Tiram saw two policemen killed after being attacked by a masked man armed with a machete and the suspect also died.
The attack also resulted in the injury of another policeman who was shot in the shoulder.
