Bus carrying UPSI students overturns at Jalan Jeli-Grik, 15 confirmed dead

GERIK: A total of 15 people have been confirmed dead in a horrific accident involving a bus carrying students of Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) at Jalan Jeli-Grik near Tasik Banding early this morning.
According to the latest official information as of 6.17am, the bus was carrying a total of 48 UPSI students.
However, authorities have not yet been able to confirm how many of the victims who died were UPSI students, as the accident also involved other vehicles.
Of the total victims, 13 were reported to have died at the scene, while two others died while seeking treatment at the hospital.
Meanwhile, 33 individuals sustained injuries:
Red Zone (seriously injured): 7 people
Yellow Zone (medium): 20 people
Green Zone (light): 6 people
The news was also confirmed in a separate post on the Facebook page of UPSI Vice-Chancellor, Professor Datuk Dr. Md Amin Md Taff with the short caption "UPSI berduka".
