Highway funds misappropriation investigation: Armed MACC tactical team arrives at the Tan Sri residence

A total of four vehicles arrived at the residential area located in Bandar Tasik Selatan. 


KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Tactical Squad (ACTS) arrived at the residence of a Tan Sri in connection with the misappropriation of sukuk funds for the construction of highways in the Klang Valley at 10.50am.

A total of four vehicles arrived at the residential area located in Bandar Tasik Selatan.

It involved two white vans and two other Livina and Honda City grand cars and even MACC tactical teams arrived fully armed with firearms.

The process of recording the testimony of highway concessionaires linked to the misappropriation of sukuk funds for highway construction entered its second day today.

A white Toyota Vios vehicle carrying Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) officers was seen entering the individual's residence at 8.45am.


Meanwhile, one of the entrances to the residence of the businessman Tan Sri was also closed by the police with the help of a company.


Cones and barriers were placed at the entrance to the residential area, with auxiliary policemen who were there also preventing media personnel from approaching the area.

Yesterday, the recording process of the Tan Sri, took about six hours starting at 9am and finishing at 3.07pm.


The media also previously reported that 45 witnesses who had previously testified had been recalled to provide additional information.
