A 42-year-old man who is believed to have killed his parents in a house in Kampung Sungai Penchala was arrested by the police on Saturday night.
The matter was confirmed by Kuala Lumpur Police Chief, Datuk Allaudeen Abdul Majid when contacted by Astro AWANI a while ago.
He explained that the police are still conducting investigations at the scene of the incident at this time.
"The bodies of the couple aged 72 and 82 years were found lying covered in blood in the living room of the house.
"The case is being investigated according to Section 302 of the Penal Code," he explained briefly when contacted.
He added that the initial investigation found that there was an argument between the suspect and the two victims before the incident.
The incident is believed to have happened at around 8pm on Saturday, before the bodies of the elderly couple were found lying covered in blood in the living room of the house.
The suspect, however, is said to have tried to escape to a nearby forest area.
The police also used the help of the PDRM Detection Dog Unit (K9) before the suspect was successfully apprehended.
The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code, which carries the death penalty if convicted.
